What are everyone's thoughts on these cars? I really like the looks of them, and seems the performance would be decent also.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Someone I work with has one. It's another AWD turbo car. It's kinda fast, but I think its ugly. What are you wanting one for?

As long as you did not use a 2-step on it, and did not go nuts with mods, it would make for a nice peppy daily for you. You would enjoy it during the winter, and you might even enjoy the hell out of autocrossing it or something like that.

Police cars here are only factory tuned. If you can do better than 180K they can't catch you, so they don't even try.

FWIW the 2010 series has undergone some massive changes that aren't visible at first.
The engine and transmission mounts are completely different to what Subaru has been running for years. No more easy retrofit swap to put a 2010 engine into an older vehicle and no more swapping a built older engine into your newer car.
Also, the turbo mounting location has been moved (I've not seen this myself but was told by a tech at a dealership when they first hit the floor) instead of being tucked away in the engine bay they've moved it lower and to the front, pretty much directly below where the oil filters are on the older Subies. Prime candidate for getting torn off if you accidentally curb the bumper in a parking lot or clean up a low flying raccoon on the way to work.
Ugly as sin but the WRX is supposed to put down 305-horsepower / 290 lb.-ft from the factory

unless I won some money, and than that sum B*TCH would be modded crazy and go real fast............

I take that back, if I ever owned another subaru, it would be modded a little bit, but not nearly as much as mine was last time...........

if your wanting a good fun dd and thinking about a 2010 wrx i'd recommend looking at the used legacy spec b's they have the good Sti stuff and are more comfortable and better looking (to me) and prolly near the same price.

::tisk:: I wouldn't trade the GTO for one of the new STis.. The 04/05 and 06/07 STis are the only ones that look decent IMO. If you're seriously thinking about selling your cars and getting an AWD Turbo car like the STi I would also go and drive one of the new EVO Xs.. they make really good power with hardly any mods and they're a lot nicer on the inside than an Evo8/9.

..the more I look at these cars the more I like em'. They new Evo and STi just feel too big for me. Same with the new Camaro.

i'm going to agree, i have had my subaru, i know how hard it is to claim something under warranty with them. If it's just going to be a DD i would say go with the leagcy its pretty nice but dont even put an intake on it. The new EVO takes very well to mods, looks much better than the wrx and has a nicer interior(to me). If price is a problem with MR get the Ralliart Lancer, its the direct competitor to the wrx.
